TEAM SCRAMBLED LEGS
This crazy journey started with great laughter and general banter amongst friends and work colleagues as to how we were going to complete the 94.7 cycle race, just to say we had completed the race. This crazy idea soon ended with great sadness on the 24th February 2019, while out on a cycle in the Cradle. Our dear friend, fantastic father and husband, loving son, MD, Peter Kowalski (PK), who was a designer, entrepreneur, green warrior passed away.
In honor of PK, we decided to continue this journey not only in memory of Peter but also for a greater cause, cycling for Rare Diseased South Africa.
The awareness created, and funds raised greatly assists the foundation to ensure patients have appropriate access to treatment and supportive care for improved quality of life.
Over the last 5 years, RDSA have been able to empower patients through their advocacy, navigation and community engagement programmes.
Every month, RDSA currently support
- Over 1500+ patients
- 700+ caregivers
- 1400+ healthcare professionals
- 140+ disease specific support groups
- 85+ online community platforms
Thank you to all that supported the Scrambled Legs team and for opening up your hearts and wallets, we managed to raise R57 760,00 for this amazing great cause.
